 UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic is delighted to announce construction has commenced on a major extension to the clinic. This work which will commence during August 2019 is expected to be completed by Spring 2020. This increased capacity will facilitate the addition of a further two ultra clean-air operating theatres dedicated to orthopaedic and spinal surgical procedures; bringing the total of theatres to seven. The expansion will also see an increase in the number of inpatient beds by a further twenty bringing total capacity to eighty-three. |

UPMC Completes Acquisition of Renowned UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin
UPMC announced today that it has formally acquired the renowned UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic (SSC) in Dublin, following approval by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC). SSC now becomes UPMC’s fourth hospital in Ireland, joining UPMC Whitfield in Waterford, UPMC Kildare in Clane and UPMC Aut Even in Kilkenny, along with sports medicine, cancer and outreach facilities across Ireland.
