Dr Leah Rooney is a medical graduate of University College Dublin.

Dr Leah Rooney is a medical graduate of University College Dublin. She has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) since 2015, subsequently completing specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. She was awarded the Bresnihan-Molloy International Fellowship for her research in giant cell arteritis carried out at St Vincent’s University Hospital, where she has also worked as a consultant, before relocating to UPMC-Sports Surgery Clinic to work with Dr Barry Sheane. 

Dr Rooney has experience in all areas of rheumatology with a special interest in inflammatory arthritis, osteoporosis, vasculitis, and connective tissue diseases.
