• A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
• Trained in radiology in Beaumont Hospital.
• He completed fellowships at the University of British Columbia and the University of Western Ontario in Canada specializing in Musculoskeletal Radiology with a special interest in ultrasound and related musculoskeletal interventional procedures.

He is currently part of a team of radiologists, clinicians and related specialists providing medical back-up for the Irish provincial and international rugby teams, many of the Gaelic inter-county football and hurling teams and other Irish athletes from all disciplines including our current and future Olympians.
He is a keen sportsman with personal interest in running, cycling and golf and has represented the Irish Colleges and Leinster at underage level in rugby having played with Terenure College and University College Dublin at club level
