Paul
See More StoriesMy name is Paul and I have been jogging for about 10 years.
While out jogging I began to notice a pain in my back running down my left leg and also weakness in both legs.
I began physio which had no effect and was then referred for a MRI scan.
After the MRI scan I was referred for consultation with Mr. Michael Kelleher.
He was very clear and explained in very clear terms what the MRI had shown.
Mr. Kelleher told me I had severe spinal stenosis at the L3-L4 level and my best option would be a microdiscectomy.
Mr. Kelleher told me what my options were and the complications of surgery.
I then had surgery again being fully informed at each step of the way.
The care I received from the nurses and theatre staff was exceptional.
Mr. Kelleher advised me to attend a physio as part of my recovery which I have completed.
Thanks to Mr. Kelleher I am now pain free and back to normal, jogging again while building my strength up to support my spine.
I now have a new lease of active life and will always be grateful to Mr. Kelleher for giving me this great opportunity to enjoy my favourite activities once again.
